Passing lamps on 2014 CVO roadking with can-bus
« on: October 07, 2014, 02:37:26 AM »

Hi

I am trying to get Day-maker LED passing lamps on to my 2014 CVO Road King. The dealer has advised that its not possible to do so on my bike as it is fitted with a Can-Bus. In fact they mentioned that the two switches at the back of the headlight are not wired at all in this model.

Has anyone encountered this issue, help please!

Thanks very much

I have had them installed on mine and have 2000 miles on them. No issues...

According to the information from Harley concerning the LED lamps, they indicate they will work on a 2014 CVO Road King.  The parts list for the bike also shows electrical harness connections for those switches.  So unless there is something on an Asia/Pacific model that's different and doesn't show in the parts list, I think your dealership is mistaken.

Sounds like your dealer is clueless.  If the work and come stock on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and such for 14, which they do, then their is no reason they will not work on the CVO King for 14.  Also parts book indicates they work.  I have also seen 14 Kings with the led passing lamps

Thank you folks. Will try again with the dealership

jpd chicago, those lights look absolutely great. I already have the same mirrors that you have. I think am gonna mail this thread to the dealer and then see what they have to say. Just to confirm your motorcycle has the can-bus as not all the bikes do!

Thanks again guys
