Custom Cycle Engineering Trac Tree
« on: October 14, 2014, 01:00:11 PM »

Does anyone have any experience with The Custom Cycle Engineering Tour Trac Tree designed for FLT's with a fairing? I'd be interested in this to tighten up my front end, but nobody appears to know if it will work with the Traxxion Ak-20 cartridge set up. Any insight would be appreciated.

I would start off by calling CCE and Dan @ Traxxion.  I don't how many miles you have on your AK-20's but if you are near 20,000 you may want to discuss this with Dan.  I don't have CCE's tel.# but to reach Dan it's 770-592-3823.  Dan is the only person left at Traxxion that handles our bikes.  If you are having some front end issues I would look very carefully at your neck bearings.  I grease mine every year and do the fall away test outlined in your manual.  Or you can call me and we can go over your issues.   I would exhaust every option before I would go the CCE route.

Thanks for the input Ray... I'm not planing anything yet - simply investigating. My issue is parking lot/slow speed orientated, not at touring speeds. I recognize what would be involved in making a change to the CCE Trac Tree and would really have to think that through before doing so. I'll check the manual and read about the protocol you referenced - thanks.
