 :nixweiss:I've had to replace the bearings in the front wheel and it has only 20.000 miles on my 08 sce elecglide cvo bike,Whats up with that?

Davo, mine went out at about the same time. I kind of heard a howling noise on my way back from Arkansas. The older style wheel bearings on my 95 Heritage required greasing at 10K, but when I sold it at 62 thousand miles  they were still the originals and in good condition. Problem was you had to pull the wheels to grease them, although a well know wheel maker in Los Angeles area told me that if you did a good job they could easily go 20K between services. I am sure the older style were better and safer. Seems like a bad trade off for reliability and safety considering the weight of a CVO Ultra Classic compared to 95 Heritage. Wish I would have kept it. Sold it to my cousin in Thermopolis Wyoming.CAHDBIKER

Take a look at the attached photo and I think you can answer your own question.  Harley changed from the one inch bearings to the 25mm bearings in 2008.  There have been many premature failures ever since, some at much lower miles than yours.
