The NE corner of Iowa has some amazing riding as well.  Hard to beat around here.

When we were making annual trips out to Sturgis in the '90's, we used to laugh at ourselves starting to distinct the different corn seed brands based on the color while riding through Iowa.  LOTS of corn in Iowa.  I always enjoyed seeing all the green stalks swaying in the breeze.
I did notice this last trip up that there are quite a few wind turbines that weren't there the last time.  While I understand the concept and appreciate the effort generating power through wind, it sorta took away from the flowing hills......progress I guess.

We went through the NE part of Iowa one year coming back through Dubuque (I guess more ENE Iowa).  That's a town where I would like to go back and spend a few days.

The Dubuque area is awesome. There's some great riding just north of there.

Howard there's about 50 wind turbines just south of me now. They are like weeds, sprouting up EVERYWHERE!

Very nice pictures and a beautiful day!!! Boy that Ol' Ruby sure likes to pose for the camera doesn't she? And why not...typical female when she knows she is looking good. Just like my Rose. Them damn HD's are all alike...never met a camera they didn't like.  :)

Thanks Jesse, haven't been back to Iowa since 1974. Used to build tooling for John Deere. Will have to put it on my list of states to ride to.
