Cam change
« on: October 22, 2014, 07:55:52 AM »

Would like suggestions on cams getting ready to do cam plate oil pump upgrade  and new lifters in my 12 cvo ultra. The stock 255's actuallywork good for me not looking for a number on a piece of paper so if they are still ok may just leave them, but if need replaced if there's something close that may widen out the torque curve I'd be open to something diff. Also I already have the Fullsac XD and 2" baffles with tts. Thanks

The 255 can be tuned.. I would still reuse the stock oil pump and plate, Swap the lifters, however if you swap the cam as well  you can have the same down low power but it will be broader and pull out much further in the RPM range. The 255 is not a bad cam just not great.
