Sirius/XM Trial
« on: October 22, 2014, 05:55:07 PM »

Does anyone know if I can wait until spring to activate Sirius/XM trial? Just bought my FLHXSE and would like to wait to activate the trial. I am not sure if the trial is from purchase date or after its activated. Not sure if it will do any good to call them as I have read that thier customer service is lacking.

Not sure but I don't even think I want to activate mine.  We did it on my wifes stang and it was more of a pain in the rear to shut off than it was worth.  They started billing us.

I don't plan on giving them my credit card.

I dont need the music but the weather radar is what I am interested in.

Wondering is that included?  It would be cool here because T Storms are so small and focused that you could drive around them.

Maybe I am wrong but it looks like this is just for local weather radio stations.

Is there anyone on who has tried it?

I use the weather and traffic....it is a great tool when touring.

The weather has kept me dry many of times and give a heads up as to when to put on the rain suit.

The traffic is hit or miss....but the road closed notification has detoured me a couple of times.

I also use the music....like to listen to CNN and Fox News to stay in touch a couple hours a day.

If you tour....you will not be disappointed.

I was told by the dealer that you can activate whenever you want to start the trial so I will probably wait until spring.

I guess I will try and call them to make sure a delay will not void the trial.

I am looking forward to the weather on the nav screen.

I've heard the horror stories about Sirius XM but fortunately that has not been my experience. Had it on 4 CVOs since 2005 (and my SUV also) with nary a problem. I've found their customer service to be quite good actually.
