Oh no. Someone stop me.
« on: October 28, 2014, 01:52:45 PM »

Just took a ride to Cheltenham H-D as the weather was nice today in the UK. What was sitting there right in front of me as I walked in? A Starfire Black and Gold Dust SG. Wow it looked fab but I've only had my RK since May! I'm going to cut up all my bank cards in case I do something rash

Go for it baz!
I"ll trump your card as I have only had my cvo road king since June! Still going to part ex and get one though! however the road king is one seriously nice machine (I've had 2)and by far the best handling of all the touring bikes in my opinion as its lighter and more nimble, then again the bat fairings gives you more in other ways, neither is a right or wrong choice and is unfair to even compare the 2 bikes.
Your only on this earth once buddy! :cucumber:

I wish someone would take a hi-def camera and snap a few pics of one of these black beasts. I've got one on order, but probably wont see it for quite a while, and the only pics i've seen suck. I wanna know that I made the right choice. lol

What colour are you going for Wild Hog 4 and when will you get it? Be interested in how you find it compared to the SERK.

Yup I was in your situation,
I actually had a deposit first on the hard Mercury for a month, convinced I was that that was the colour for me , then i saw it and found it too glitzzy up close, then from a few feet away it faded and looked like a normal silver/greyish bike especially on non sunny days,
Went on holiday sorry "vacation" in Florida and  saw da blue one in the sun "Pow right in the Kisser" as Jackie Gleason would say" .
Needless to say rang my dealer and swapped the deposit for da blue one in a heartbeat!

Everyone's different bud! No right or wrong colour, but do agree with you on  the let down on the black one. :jalapeno:

I have decided to stick with the SERK and in case she was feeling insecure I have ordered auxiliary lights for her along with a few other goodies. Still like the idea of an SG in the future though so will keep an eye on future colour schemes. The future's bright, the future's orange.

 :huepfenlol2:  Simon,

As I said, the '15 RG Ultra and Street Glides are beautiful!  They just didn't move me to give up my SERG.  I have thought about having two touring bikes.....   :nixweiss:    I am enjoying my updates.
