During the past 2-3 years I have read both good reviews (sound, looks) and bad reviews (fit, faulty bracets, rattles)  concerning the Rinehart True Duals.  Has the dust settled on this product?  I presently have Kirker slip-ons, with stock headers on my '04 SEEG.  No problems with my present set up, I could use a little better (deeper, louder) sound though, and I just love the looks of the Rineharts.  Any and all advice would be much appreciated.

I went through some fits as recently as last summer to get mufflers that had good chrome and no dents in them, so I think there are still some issues out there.  However, so far, I am still really glad I got them.  Like you, I love the way they look and ooooooooohh, that sound!!!  Nothin' like it, IMHO!

I did not install them myself, so can't comment about that, but the finished fit looks absolutely perfect.  The front heat shield is notched to clear our billet brake pedal, which I think some manufacturers are still not doing.  With mine, they were still shipping the black powdercoated rear bracket that goes on the starter loose with some of the other hardware, so it had some slight scuffs which I poished up as good as I could and called it a day.  Others have had to request replacements who's brackets arrived with more severe shipping damage.  I think the jury is somewhat still out on whether or not the new bracketry has eliminated the earlier cracking problem since it took awhile for the stress cracks to start showing up in the first place.  On the rattling, I think that was reported to be the baffles by one of the members here, but I have not heard a lot of complaints on that one.

Hope that helps.  I would buy them again.  I attribute the strong numbers I got from my Zipper's 575 cam swap (see sig.) to these pipes.

I have two sets of them with several thousand miles on both sets.  I've been very happy with them with no problems and wouldn't go with anything else.  I had them installed by the dealer on both sets.

I have two sets.  One on a 03 RK Classic with 22,000 miles.  Rear header broke mounting flange at 18,000.  Had a new header from them in about three weeks.  Never questioned how old they were.  Just needed to know where to send it.  These were dealer installed in Dec 03.

The other set are on my 05 SEEG with 14,500 miles on it.  No problems.  I installed these.

Great looks.   Sometimes too loud but love the sound at cruise.  No problems with quality at all.

Only criticism is the end caps turn purple after a while.  Bought a new set on Ebay for $25, fixed that.

Buy em and enjoy em.

NTHEWIND, I have Freedom pipes with the Power Commander III, and the Screamin Eagle Air cleaner.  I went back and forth on which pipe setup to purchase.  I am glad I went with the Freedom Exhaust System.  They look great sound great, and they improved my performance [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].  Several others have this same exhaust system.  I have had them for two years and have not had any problems.  Read the attached email from James Yuill from Freedom Cycle.  I had to wait for three months two summers ago.  They were well worth the wait.  Give them a call and you won't be disappointed.

Love the Rinehart pipes they sound great, i might be older but im not dead yet and want a motorcycle to sound like one.
So far so good with them, added chrome end caps nice looking set up. The only thing that i dont like is that they are so close to the primary case and the side case, also closer to the pasenger left floorboard.
I would buy them again, if i had to do it over again. I truly think you will be happy if you go with what you like and what looks good to you, even if you can get something that is a little better in performance if you dont like it you wont be happy. Go with you gut and get what you like its your bike and make it your own.

I second and third that! I LOVE THE FREEDOM PIPES! And have been very happy with the service also from James. Good people, IMHO,they sound better than the Rineharts.

WHEN I WAS IN MV I HAD A "RATTLE" START IN MY LEFT PIPE ONLY WHEN THE BIKE WAS COLD. I THOUGHT SOMETHING IN THE PRIMARY WAS COMING LOOSE AT FIRST. PULLED THE BAFFLE OUT AND TOOK A CENTER PUNCH AND PINGED THE FRT COLLAR OF THE BAFFLE. CURED IT FOR GOOD I HOPE, OTHER THAN THAT, I LOVE EM AND THE BIKE DOES TOO. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Had 'em on my '03 Ultra. No probs. Had 'em on my '06 SEUltra & the heat shield on the front pipe rubbed the front floorboard. Put spacers and longer bolts in the floorboard mounts and solved the problem. The rear bracket on both bikes never broke for me. Puting them on my '07 with cams etc. Been very pleased with 'em.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Had them on the 04 pumpkin with nothing but problems from the start. Rear head pipe crack then the latest bracket clamp broke after two differant upgrades. Rattles from baffles.Good warranty though.Tired of the ongoing problems that always arose. They will not get my business in the future.The rienhart sound is good but I found D&D pipes that sound awsome with more low end tourqe but only have 1000 miles on them so can not say how they will hold up. I also had the Freedom Cycles on my SE 103, they were great, not to loud. No problems with fit or finsh.

When I went to the Jims 120, I put on the V&H Pro Pipe. Great pipe for power, however it is getting too loud especially after 600 - 770 mile days.

Did not think the Freedoms could handle the the higher TQ and HP of the Jims 120.

Spoke with James Yuell of Freedom Cycle the other day and he advised that, yes the Freedom Cycle Pipes could handle the HP and TQ that I was putting out. (131hp & 134 lb ft TQ). So it looks like next time I am in Phoenix will bring my Freedoms back with me and put them and then re tune and dyno the bike.

Will keep you all informed, won't be till May.

I have a 2007 black and orange with Rineharts and they are great. The new bracket solved all of there problems.

Well, the set I had on my 06 CUSE for 3000 miles are sitting downstairs, and will be going on ebay before too long.  No way will I be having them on the 07 CUSE2 - problems are well documented elsewhere!
