Should have these on the shelf sometime in January. Available with and with out coating.
Pricing? Please don't ask, I don't have a clue yet. Still trying to figure out how to make a saw blade
last more than 10 cuts. Mild steel is so much easier.

NOOOOOO! Why wasn't I told this last week when I was ordering my exhaust for my new 2015 cvosg that I stated wouldn't be here till spring? I would have waited for pricing. Oh well, guess I could sell it to a buddy.

Would you really do that to a true "buddy"?

Did quite a bit of testing with 2 -1s. The ones that work are way too loud for touring. The quieter ones have huge TQ dips.
That's the advantage of the 2-1-2s. Low back pressure, good bottom but with two mufflers instead of one to keep it civilized.
The previous pipe shown in this thread will most like never see the light of day in terms of production. Were are slow right now at the shop and slapped it together for a giggle. I definitely plan on doing a few burn outs and maybe a video for the CVO forums Facebook before it goes in the trash. Here's a pic of something that's definitely going to production.

That Stainless pipe did not exist last week, there was nothing to tell you about. There's only one on the planet and I thought it might be a good idea to run it on my own bike for a while before it gets rushed to production. 60 dyno pulls so far, making good power. Vtune 3 dialed in the VE in two sessions. So far so good on the performance end. Production pipes ready to sell is another story? If you want to trade the unused DX back in when these become available no problem.

I was hoping to hear from YOU! I knew you were out there, I just didn't think you would show up here.
Every magazine has a picture of a Bagger with a side pipe on it right now. These drag on the ground Baggers are everywhere suddenly. Kinda a Rat Rod Bagger thing happening right now too with a bunch of used being parts being thrown together.
Maybe this style of pipe will open some other doors for us?

Thanks for the encouragement!

What's going to be the benefit of the Stainless DX? Mostly corrosion protection?

Corrosion and longevity. Pound per pound a stronger material than mild steel that will hold up to more heat and vibration for longer duration's. Stainless has less thermal conductivity than mild steel too. Add ceramic coating on top and that's about as good as it gets. In the real world I don't know if the right leg will feel any difference?

Here's a good read on it if you like the technical stuff.  http://www.burnsstainless.com/stainlesssteel.aspx

Steve,
Would you be willing to sell this pipe in pieces? I have been working with stainless for the last 17 years and i would like to be able to weld this up myself.
BTW: You need to invest in a saw that uses WATER AND WATER SOLUABLE OIL such as a HYD-MECH. Ours has been running every day cutting stainless anywhere from .0625 wall sanitary tubing to 4'' solid round 304L in our fabrication shop for the last 15 years. A good blade with this saw should last you a couple of weeks minimum.

The SS DX look great.

I am completely amazed what people want on there bikes.  Put money into the engine build and then they top it off with LMF, up yours, and such.  These things are not cheap either.  Swope wants over a grand, Covington is up there a s well.  Too bad you cant make a run of 10 and see how they do.

What, nobody else picked up on VT3?

Vtune 3? Whats that? 1250.00 for the LMF? I'm like WTF? Lol.. The crew and I talked yesterday about buying an older RK to use for "alternative" exhaust designs. Might be fun step out of the "Performance Touring" box and build obnoxious unpractical exhaust systems for those who could care less about performance or decel pop. The older Touring bikes are becoming available for well under 10K these days. The number of people molesting these helpless bikes for lowrider duty is on the grow for sure. I may have to open my mind up a little further to actually ride one. Lol..
