Accent lights and fairing panel buttons

I have some led accent lights from custom dynamics. I would like to install them and use one of the unused fairing panel switches to power on/off. Has anyone installed lights like these on a 2014 or newer bike? Or activated any of the switches to control any add-on?  If you have, what is involved with the install?
