The riding season is over in the burgh, for me at least. I was out this past Saturday for a couple hours until my legs got numb and went home. Big blue will now be hibernating til spring since the roads are all caked with salt now. Gonna be a loooong depressing 4 months!  Did I mention I hate winter?

I really feel for y'all up North in the Winter months.  My favorite riding is in the late Fall through Winter into early Spring.  I guess I'm the weird one but I enjoy the cold weather riding but NOT the salt.  East Tennessee has now (last 10 years or so) adopted the salt brine method of preping the roads.  Thing is down here, if there is a hint of a snowflake, they spray that stuff like a dog marking it's territory.  As everyone knows, it does wonders to the paint and chrome.  At least it's washed off the roads with the first good rain and we do have more rain than snow down here in the Winter.
Keep that chin up, phantom.....the good Lord willing, Spring is a'comin.....

Yeah I think it has been a cooler riding season in Pittsburgh this year.
I store mine at the dealer. They start storage November 1st but I hold of until the first week of December. I hope to get one or two more riding days before I take er in by the end of the month...maybe that won't happen this year.

I'll try Howard, but it'll be rough and winter is just getting started now. Rose, I hate to say it but I think you missed the boat on those last couple rides unless we get some miracle indian summer with lots of rain to wash that slop away. Harley Guy, be glad you don't live in NY cause you could add 6 FEET to those inches ... they are getting pounded. I saw it on the news in the break room at work last night in between my runs. They declared state of emergency.

This weather keeps getting more screwy as the years go by. I remember 2 or 3 yrs ago when I had my Road Glide riding around Christmas eve jamming to xmas tunes and checking out everyone's lights ... first time I ever got to do that in my life and possibly my last after seeing how this goofy weather is. It was cold, but no salt on the roads and I managed to stay out for a few hours til I felt like a popsicle and enjoyed every minute.

I lived in Ohio most of my life.  Got to say Alabama weather is much nicer.  Normally I would be out riding today if it wasn't for the cold front that hit us  We had a ton of rain and then cold so it creates ice on the country roads.  Ice and Harleys not a good thing.  Should warm up by Friday.  If it doesn't rain it will time for a ride.

We were going to take a quick ride this evening but it is supposed to hit 35 or so.  By the weekend though it is supposed to hang around the 70's with lows in the upper 50's.  I think I'll wait..  Until then>>>>

Gotta love the (almost) year round riding here in Florida, but it adds up to alot of miles on the scoots.

Ya, looks like we are done riding up here in Northern MI also.  I guess 24k miles will be the close to the final mileage this year... The wife has 27k on her '14 CVO Deluxe already....  You don;t have to live in FL to rack up miles I guess.

Salt and grit now over here too, bikes away until March time. BTW nice ultra Ironhorse - same as mine, how many miles on it.
