Long story short, I had a S&S 124" installed two winters ago.  The large cam chest interfered with my original exhaust choice.  The installer recommended and installed a Bassani Road Rage.  At this time there are more choices that will fit the bike.  Exhaust are very subjective but in our case the noise was just to much for the long trips we like to take, some people have told us it sounds great.  It's off the bike right now and depending on our decision to keep the bike or sell it will determine if it gets installed or replaced.  You can PM me for more info.  The finish is very good, it mounts very easily, we would like something a little quieter.

I installed these about a month ago.  Love the deep sound,  and the chrome finish is perfect.  Got a nice deep tone at any speed.  I LOVE the sound,  not to loud,  I can honestly say,  I had the CVO mufflers with the 2" baffles and they are louder than the Bassani's that I have on my bike.  The deep tone seems to stay there no matter what the speed,  doesn't get to loud on a long ride.

I'll try to find the info and post it when I can but please be aware that I have the Road Rage, it is a 2 into 1 and very different from the true duals that were posted.  What exhaust are you planning to run?  I can only speak for the one that I have as I have never seen or heard the duals.  Did you check the Bassani web site?  Did you have any mods done to your motor or is it stock?

I had the Bassani B4 2-1 on my last bike and loved it.  Best looking pipe on the market, IMHO, good performance, too.  As far as volume, I didn't find it excessively loud, and I don't like really loud pipes.  Also, true duals are the classic, "best sounding" pipes that most people think of when they talk about the classic Harley sound.  But they are generally the poorest performing, power wise.

I have the Bassani 517 long megaphones with black tips on my '12 CVO RG.

Ran them for 11 years on my last RG.

I absolutely love the rumble!

The Head Pipes are the Vance & Hines Power Duals and the mufflers are the Bassani Slip On Mufflers :  Part No.  FLH523SL
