I think that's the one that just last week Texas said it wouldn't accept as street legal.  Something about falling in between the lines of their definitions of car and motorcycle.  Didn't fit close to either one so they wouldn't license it either way.

Yeap, just found the link from the wire article had read last week.  Here's a doc:

a few months ago we saw a brand new condor wheel chock on craigslist for $175.00 called and said we'd take it, got there asked why ya getting rid of it without using it and the answer was, no more bikes he ordered one of these. Said it has a small GM car engine in it and was gonna put a whipple blower and some other mods on the motor. was the first I heard of em.

if Texas won't approve them because the seat isn't between the legs, how do they explain the Morgan?

Good question.

I know of several that are registered in TX that are on the Morgan forum, Talk Morgan.

I think they just slid under the radar without any request for permission etc.  The old saying, it's easier to get forgiveness than get permission.

Here in MI I've checked and all that's required to be a motorcycle is three wheels.  So here no matter how large, enclosed, doors, seat belts, wipers, passengers etc, if it has three wheels, it's a motorcycle period!

My call to the Highway Patrol was to ask if you had everything a car has but it's three wheels, could I drive without a helmet.  The answer was no exceptions at this time.  But as Elio expands their quest for waivers on the helmet laws to allow people to drive their car, albeit three wheeled, it may come down that seats, steering wheel, windshield a seat belts may allow non helmet driving even for a three wheeler.  That's the ammunition Elio is using when they're request state legislature waivers etc.

I'm guessing the next version will be more like a traditional three wheeler, with a Indian badge on it and they will call it an Arrowhead.

So Texas won't register / license it but what about someone driving in Texas from out of state?  I wonder if the LEOs would give them any hassle.   :nixweiss:  Doubt it but stranger things have happened - just ask that PA lady to took her pistol into NJ thinking what was legal in her home state would be legal in other states.

As Joe Biden would say 'this is a BFD' for Polaris I would think.

Seems you can't register them in good old CT either:

It's been an ongoing debate since Polaris announced the vehicle....
