Anybody remove and reinstall flush mount gas cap?

Interested in what type of adhesive tape might exist that will allow you to reuse the flush mount trim ring around the gas cap.
I would hate to have to spend 200 bucks for a new set.

Mine came loose a while ago, all I did was clean the old adhesive off and use a couple dabs of gorilla glue. No problems since!

I was going to replace my ring because it has dings from the original owner. I think its only $10 for a new ring, the cap is almost $100. therwise 3M VHB tape is the stuff to use.

I agree with donvito, this is the stuff to use. It comes in different thicknesses and can be purchased through McMaster Carr
