I've noticed several times after I start the bike that nothing on the info center will function. No radio, CB or any controls. I have to stop then shut the bike off then go back through the start up again. It then will work. Couple friends here have had the same thing happen. It's like your having to reset the computer. I'll say one thing it's very annoying if you start up and everyone is taking off and then you either need to stop to reset the system or wait until everyone stops someplace. Asked the dealer and of course the answer was, gee we've never heard of that.

Has anyone else experience this problem. Looked here on the forum but didn't find this specific issue.

After your dealership geniuses gave you the old "never heard of that before" stock answer, what did they say they would do?  It's not OK to just throw up their hands and tell customers they've never heard of that before and send the customer on their way.  If they aren't competent to diagnose the system, they have people they can contact at H-D corporate for assistance.  I'd suggest you also contact H-D corporate and file a complaint.

They (service manager) didn't suggest anything and said I don't know what to do. So I'm going to another dealer with the same question. If I can't get an answer I think your right, call Harley corporate.

Call Corporate.  I have twice now on the head unit.  I have a long list again on the head unit I will be calling on this week.

If this was the place you bought the bike, you might want to talk to the dealer himself and let him know how thrilled you are with the incompetence of his service department staff and will take that into account before making any future purchases.  Based upon his response and any action taken or not taken, you could then make a fully informed decision before ever buying anything from that place again.  That's the only way the really lousy places will ever change, when people refuse to give them any more of their money.

If this was the place you bought the bike, you might want to talk to the dealer himself and let him know how thrilled you are with the incompetence of his service department staff and will take that into account before making any future purchases.  Based upon his response and any action taken or not taken, you could then make a fully informed decision before ever buying anything from that place again.  That's the only way the really lousy places will ever change, when people refuse to give them any more of their money.

Have you updated the firmware on your Radio to the latest ... 1.18.2 ?   If not, I'd gave that a try.  Each version of the firmware, slowly, fixes issues all of us run across.   Firmware and installation instructions here .....   http://www.harley-davidson.com/content/h-d/en_US/home/owners/infotainment/software-downloads.html

Make sure you select the Premium CVO Radio tab at the top.

Yep, I updated it to that latest one and still does it. I was hoping that maybe someone here had experienced it also. Well I guess I'll have to call HD. Thanks all for the input
