Alarm fob not de-activating alarm
« on: January 05, 2015, 07:11:12 PM »

2011 CVO SG.....I was doing some cleaning in my garage and had to move the bike....when I up-righted the bike off of the jiffy stand to move it the alarm started going off....after a few minutes it finally quit. Since this was still the original battery, I changed out the battery in the fob but the alarm still goes off. Is there a procedure for having to "link" the fob back to the bike if the battery goes dead and is replaced or is something else wrong? Thanks

most of the time, when you read something like this, it is usually followed by, 'yep, put the battery in the fob upside down'.....

check that the fob battery is rightside up, that the contacts are indeed making contact, and the battery is actually a good battery.  that usually takes care of it.

might work but have you turned the start switch on.  When i have pulled the main fuse the alarm will go off even if the fob is near.  I turned the bike on then it stopped.  Not sure if that will work with yours or why it does it.
