Hog Tunes HF-1 Tweeter Pod...
« on: January 14, 2015, 08:54:10 AM »

Has anyone removed the leather dash pad from inner fairing and replace with/install the Hog Tunes HF-1 Tweeter pod over same area?

I have ape style 13" x 1.25" handlebars on this bike. Adjusting the grip angle of these bars, once positioned they are so close to this mount you can no longer attach the GPS unit. Consequently I am wondering if you can do away with the dash pad and GPS mount and install this tweeter pod adding to stereo sound quality while covering the dash pad holes in fairing...  Pic of what I am dealing with..

I have a 2010 SEUC and did just that. Didn't have a GPS mount then. Had a local guy cover the Hogtunes with leather. I like it better than painting the same as inside. But to be honest I wouldn't say I can tell any great sound improvement. I had already replaced other speakers.

I did this on my '05 SEEG.  Removed the pad, installed the Tweeter Pod.  Tweeter Pod covered the holes just fine.  My GPS mount is a RAM handlebar mount so I can't help you there.
