Harley Daymaker Fog Lamps
« on: January 17, 2015, 01:06:42 PM »

Anyone installed the Daymaker Fog Lamps?  If so would you mind posting photos of your neat routing of the wiring harness and lamp lead ins?

I am drawing a blank as to how to do this with a clean look as possible.

Any advise and photos would be much appreciated.   :bananarock:

On what bike? I have them on my CUSE2 in the stock bezels stock plug.
Best money I've spent in a long time!

My bike is a 2007 CVO FLHTCUSE2.  I know how to connect them up, I was just looking for wire routing suggestions/ideas.

I am speaking about Daymaker LED FOG lights and not the Daymaker LED auxiliary lights.

Thanks!

Curious what color was your bike stock and looks like you got rid of the camel hump.

Where are you planning to mount them??

If your mounting them on the engine guards you can use zip ties to run the wires up the back side out of view, or.... get ambitious and drill a small hole in the engine guard adjacent to the light mount and then another hole up near the bike frame, install a small plastic wire strain relief, fish the wire through the new holes in the guard and then up along the neck to your planned tie in point on the harness..

I have the Kuryakyn fog/driving lamps mounted on the fender mounts and I ran the wires up along the brakes lines, sercured with tiny black wire ties up to the neck and from there into the fairing to the tie in point in the harness.

it was dark blue old man color lol
Wrecked it on my way to sturgis so I took the time to change the color.  I preferred the standard UC tour pack over the leather

thinking of adding these to my 2014 CVO limited. Looking at the switch routing too. Bought a kit from Harley to replce the two knock outs on the dash with functioning switches. The instructions for the lights says I need a harness and a switch. Hoping this kit replaces the harness and switch and plugs up easy. I know it need routed to left side cover for power, but that I all I got figured so far. Not even sure how new switches mount to dash panel.

not a CVO but nonetheless, same difference.  wired internal to the bars.

measure and mark where lights need to go on bars first
then remove bar
drill holes for lights and hole at neck
fish the wires through
put your bar back on
mount lights and connect wiring
enjoy
make sure to use rubber grommets in holes and also make sure to seal the holes with a silicone that does NOT contain acid properties.  Acid will eat your chrome.  Don't remember what silicone I used but picked it up at auto zone

it's a 2012 FLHTK

Wires are run internal to the bars. and come out in the center of the bar where it meets the neck, then under the tank back to the battery compartment.  Here's the wiring diagram which utilizes the grey plug under the seat that is tied into the ACC switch on the panel
