Street glide handle bars
« on: January 22, 2015, 05:44:15 PM »

I have a 2012 street glide CVO that I'm think of putting higher bars on it. The stock bars have me reaching out till my arms are straight. This causes a back pain after extended riding. Anyone have any suggestions on which bars to use. I don't want anything to high and would like to keep the faring mounted mirrors

These are 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars, I'm 5'8 & they're by far more comfortable than stock & for the first time since new I can actually see what is behind me in both mirrors, best money I've spent.

They look higher than they really are, the bike feels lighter & much more nimble with them too.

Two thumbs up of the 12" Yaffee bars. Best thing I ever put on the CVO.

I'm 5'-8" as well.

On long rides do you get that upper back pain between your shoulders? Gone with the Yaffee's.

And YES, You can see through the fairing mounted mirrors with no problem.

Lots of us put the Wild Ones 575S on our 2012 SG about 2' higher , 2" closer , 2" further out and you can keep the OEM Mirrors.

HD's own 2" pullback bar has the same benefits as the WO 575's but maintain stock width. That works a lot better for me than wider bars.

Do you have a part # for the HD bars?

Here is another option.   LA Chopper, Twin Peaks Bagger Apes, 12".  No tight bend at the top to fish the wire over.
Best mod so far.  :2vrolijk_21:

10" or 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars on the 15SESG?  I'm 5'11" and I like the idea of not having to put mirrors on the bars. Many may consider me aggressive in the twisties, so I wonder how these bars impact handling.  Thanks in advance for your thoughts.  :drink:

I had WO 578 10" on my last CVO ultra and now have the WO576 14" on current CVO ultra and the 578s made turning in short areas ten times easier than stock bars.  The 14"s are really comfortable and are better than stock but not as easy as the 578s in short turns.  Hope that helps
