Replacing the Rear Fender FLHTCUSE4
« on: January 25, 2015, 12:04:22 PM »

Hi Chaps

Replacing the rear fender, got one from an FLHTK that is the same.

Anyway got it off and can't see how to completely get the light off.

1.  There are three connectors that need to pull through the fender, two narrow one wide.  How do I get the wide one through (it attaches to the number plate light). I'm assuming I have to unclip the connector somehow.
2. The rear light base has a Philips screw holding the base to the fender - it won't undo (rusty, now soaked in release agent) -any tips or just cut it off?
3. The nut and bolt holding the bracket for the fender to saddlebag support was rusted on and eventually broke off. How do I get the bolt off the mudguard, the other end is underneath the round CVO badge/round bumper.
4.  How would you get the existing wire harness off the fender and what would you use to reattach to my new fender.

Hope you can help
