Update, there is one 2 wire connector(white) with a cap (auxiliary light switch) and six wire connector (black) turn signals, basically unplug the handlebar turn indicators and plug in the auxiliary signals. The trick would be pulling the wires from the handlebar mounted turn signals. I was thinking to leave them and when I go in for a service let the dealership pull them. Anyone out there have any easy suggestions?
I disassembled the left hand control and too the cuiser turn signal off intact. When it came to the right one with the extra wires, etc., I decided to clip the wire even with the hand control and clip off the terminals. The right handlebar's got too many wires in it to easily remove the turn signal wires.
While I had the nacelle off, I unsoldered the center wire from the Aux. light switch and patched in the fender tip lamp I'll never use. The fender tip lamp doesn't have the same connector as the $20 kit to pick up that fender tip lamp power, all you need is a short patch wire, terminal to socket. Now my LED headlmap that modulates in the daytime will also have the Aux. LED lights on to wake up those left-turn cagers that turn in front of me. (Note: The Harley modulator only works on low beam and is NOT for use with LED headlights. I got the Kisan LED version.)
I had a time getting the Cruiser turn signal wires out of the connector. A jeweler's screwdriver fits in the opening and lifted the lock easily.
Remember to cover your fender with a blanket before starting this task.
