I bought the PIAA Extreme White Plus (2 of the type 880 bulbs) from RacingLab.com, part no. PIAA 18880, for $51.95 (free std shipping at that price)--it was the lowest price on the web at that time.  They arrived quickly, were easy to install, and work fine.  PIAA says they put out as much light as typical 55 watt bulbs, but only use 27 watts.  Don't know if that's true, but they are bright, and at 4000K, they are a good match for my 4300K HID headlights.

BTW, I have the Xetronics digital HID (dual H9 type kit) that I got from HD-dude.

Here's the link to those 880s:  http://www.racinglab.com/pixtwhpl8hal.html

Thanks for the info mi amigo. So now I have to find out what would be the right number for the headlamp to have the complete set in PIAA....

No this one, H3-WHP

http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/H3_11-WHP.htm

Glad someone stepped up to try this out. Me thinks the WHP9 might have been a better choice. We'll see....

Looks like its about 1 1/2" long. Anyone got a measurement of the bulb depth?

Well found out the the 1 light LED only puts out 1 watt, see the below that I received from superbrighleds.com.  My Silverstar 55watt H3's put out plenty of light just doesnt match the Xeon.  I'll try to post pic's later.  Anyway it was a nice try!

"Hi John,

None of our DRL lamps will be comparable in brightness to a 55 watt incandescent light.  LEDs do offer much lower power consumption for comparable brightness however. A 1 watt LED would be comparable to a 10-15 watt incandescent.  However a 55 watt incandescent will project the light further than a cluster of 1 watt LEDs."

I was more concerned with color match then light output. My HID puts out more then enuff light for me on low beam. That being said, the Kuryakyn passing bulbs I got are supposed to be a single 15 watt LED with a magnifying lens in front of it to focus the beam. Gives me a bit more side to side light but doesn't really get out there too far. If I had to do it again I'd at least try the cluster LED bulb.
