I don't see cruise control listed.  I'm out!  :nixweiss:

There's no Electronic Cruise because there's no TBW (Throttle by Wire).
Cant have one without the other.

You are aware that the touring bikes had cruise pre-'08 (before TBW), right?

Its definitely a fun bike to ride. Now that there is a production model maybe some of these companies will get a move on and release some pipes that don't have fitment issues.

103 Breakout

So I see HD have release a 103 version. Looks like it has pull back risers on which I'm interested in trying on mine plus we should start seeing more after market exhaust options now.

Ah, got it.   That sucks worse....to see that some existing designs fit, but the one you want doesn't !

Interesting info.  I agree with others that this will certainly help the aftermarket, plus, the Softail line has been going soft-pun intended! over last few years(Fatboys, Convertibles, Slims, Blacklines, Deluxe, Heritage......all with touring bike-ish footboards).

The edgier Softail designs have been gone for years(Deuce, Custom, Crossbones, Night Train, Rocker, Springer, etc).

Putting the Breakout into the standard line brings some of that mojo back, IMO.

A couple of  items I don't like(NOT comparing it to the CVO, just based on what I "like"):

*Wheels-terrible.  If you have a big 21" wheel wide enough for a 130 tire you are putting front and center of the bike, it just can't be black.  IMO, the ONLY HD that carries a black wheel well is the V-ROD NRS.  Plus HD has already done this wheel.  It looks exactly like the wheel they were putting on some Sporty models for years.....new model into the lineup, you must put it on new rolling stock.

*Chrome headers with black mufflers....uh, no.  Pick one or the other.  screws up the sight-lines of the bike.

What I DO like:

*drag bars...exceptional choice they made here.  I have no idea what the comfort/fit level will be with them, but who cares?  It really accentuates the slammed design of the bike...

BTW, does the new model appear to sit higher than the CVO version?  Could just be the pictures I am seeing...

Thanks for posting the info and pix!

Good question.  i think they would.  In the pictures, the risers on the standard model look identical to the CVO's....If they just made the drag bar in chrome-heck, maybe they do/will...

I did notice on the pix from the HD site that you can apparently get the CVO wheels put onto the standard version.  Bugs me just a little.  i was hoping that would be a design feature only available on the CVO and not for sale on non-CVO models....appearance-wise, I think they are the signature element of the CVO Breakout and help make it unique.

Hate to say it, but this kind of reminds me of when you went out and bought a new Camaro.
Then you have to tell everyone, no it's not a Z28, just a regular Camaro. :(

I could have been misinformed, but I was told by a sales guy that the Breakout will replace the Softail Deluxe. IMO the Softail Slim and Blackline could go too.
