Cowboy 2, regarding your chrome bolt sets. I would recommend "Hot Toppers" They are a chrome reusable bolt head covers, they don't rust and they last a long time. I still have some of the original ones on my 95 Heritage. Use the real Hot Toppers(not the HD ones). The real ones will stay on, only a couple of them use silicone, you can put on an entire kit in about 30 minutes. If you change out the bolts eventually the centers will show rust from the Allen or torks wrench used to install. I know $110.00 sound like a lot of money for some plastic, but really they look great and are a lot less work. I have nothing to do with the company, but they have great customer service and have been around for quite a while. Your bike looks great, sit back have a beer, take a break and enjoy,CAHDBIKER

Hey Cowboy,

I got to agree the hot toppers change the look, the plastic ones are a smooth look and require a dob of silicon to hold them in place.
I chose to put genuine HD one's on but the brass chrome plated version. They snap on nice and snug and look the goods.

Either way plastic or brass chrome plated they both look good.

IMO CVO's should be standard with chrome bolt kits, something different like having torx heads rather than allen heads. Its these little things that make a mountain of difference.

In a perfect world, all the bolts that show would be polished stainless...the look of chrome without the fear of rust in the sockets.
