Just did the upgrade to 8.9.0 after downloading the software from MOCO and it went very smooth, not a hitch anywhere. That was a good feeling :D

After several attempts to upgrade the software, the screen went blank. I took it to the dealer and they could not fix it. New radio on order. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

George - when the CD ejects during the load, push it back in.

I downloaded it and unzipped the files and opened the software update folder and copied both files into the cd burn folder and burned them to the cd, that was unsucceful so  I then tried just putting software update folder onto another CD and it was less successful than the previous manner.  It would go through the first session of reading the cd and get to the update screen then read wrong cd and eject, so I then pushed it back in and it just kept ejecting back out.  Anyone else had these problems?
Thank

PM me and I'll mail you the CD I burned since I have no need for it anymore since my upgrade.
Include your name & address  - I'll get it in the mail today yet.

Just did the software update and it seemed like it went flawlessly.  However, now everytime I turn on the ignition, the radio powers up regardless of whether it was on or off when the ignition was shut down previously.  Anyone else have that condition?

Upon further review, this condition only seems to exist when the nav cd is in the player.  When it's empty or with a music cd, it behaves properly.

Nav CD??? Do you mean on the NAV equiped HK radios, you have to keep a Nav CD in the radio? That would FOR SURE keep me from getting it//I have to have my tunes while nav'ing.

Did the upgrade last night, it went very smooth, radio even turned off twice like the instructions. After reading this thread I wasn't sure what to expect. [smiley=confused5.gif]

If anybody wants the CD, PM me with your info and I will send it to you.

Karl.

No, you don't have to keep the nav cd in the unit.  Once programmed, you can remove it.  I just had it in there.  If I don't have a cd in the player (I like XM better) I keep the nav cd there.  But no more, since it always fires up with the ignition.
