I never heard of them before I read these threads. Do they just roll around loose? and center in the place they need to? and when you stop, they go to the bottom of the tire, and when you start they center again?  How many are there in the gob?

They're loose in there. They work by centrifugal force and automatically redistribute to self-balance. You use 2oz per tire. ;)

Try this web site for some information on the beads, keeping in mind that these are the folks selling these things.  Nothing on the site that I've looked at has convinced me that this is a magical answer to throwing away wheel weights.  As a matter of fact, if you dig through all their own info you will see they don't recommend them for certain tires, such as the wide performance tires on many sporty cars.  It seems the "magic" is only magical in certain cases.

I'd like to see that pop bottle and drill demo run again with a liquid in the bottle instead of the beads.  Wouldn't even need to be a fancy viscous balancing fluid, try water.

Prolly would work too! But I ain't adding water to my tires! At the speeds I ride, I'd boil it! ::) ;D ;D ;D ;)

I just put dynabeads in my replacement front tire.  When I replace the rear I will be using them in the rear tire as well.

I can only vouch for there perfect performance up to 110mph.  SMoooooth

And no ugly wheel weights.

Dealer was impressed and I suspect may be using them in the future.

get launched in side the tire! i have heard this same snake oil marketing scam for over 30 years. think it over.

I have them in my 03 SERK front wheel.  They work great.  I assume when I hit a bump at slow speed, it would dislodge some beads momentarily.  At high speeds the centrifugal force should hold them in place.  I don't think it really matters what happens when I hit a bump because I cannot feel anything but a perfectly smooth front end.

I was a skeptic also.  That is why I like this site, reliable first hand experience.  I just installed a new front Dunlop 408f on my 09 USE4 and have had great results.
It works....I have tried varying the speed from 10 to 110mph, smooth and rough roads it works.
I can tell you countless stories of tires that where balanced with weights and at a certain speed would have a very annoying vibration.  I am one of those guys that this drives crazy.  Trust me if there was a negative result or problem I would notice and would have no reservation in letting you know what it was.
Dynabeads work for me!
You can read a number of members here who have used beads with positive results, I have only heard negative comments from those who have never tried the product.

Well, I bought them and used them on my 07, and was a convert.  I'd bought enough for two bikes, so I took the weights off on my 09, and installed the beads.  Front now vibrates like you wouldn't believe at over 90mph.  :(  I'm not giving up on them though, as they were good in the 07 - I'll wait and see if they settle down.

What would happen if the beads were added and the weights left on? Would it still work the same way?
