It only hurts to pay the bill once after that you can enjoy it for a long time as this puppy was designed for our kind of abuse. Hyapusa, I hate to admit it but I had a 1978 Z1RTC (turbo) 9.84 in 1/4 mile. It lasted 10.000 miles then could be used very well for a crop duster. Didn't like being at red line for most of it's life the guides just couldn't handle it. My 96" shovel I gave it the same kind of abuse and stayed together for 80,000 miles, it was all S&S. Now I'm abusing my 127" and so far it's good, about 9000 miles on it since Oct last year have to put in the new lifters so will check it out and probably weld the crank at the same time as It might have a turbo added in it's future.

Just to bore you with another story, I had a 1975 Trans am with 455 HO went through 4 of them, threw a rod, spun a bearing etc etc. Finally bit the bullet and put in a 454 LS7 Crate motor which I could have done at the begining instead of blowing up 4 hot rodded 455's. The LS7 was an animal 4000 RPM at 100 mph put your foot in it and it would go sideways, pulled till 7000 RPM and never came apart. Since then I am a believer in changing out the complete motor as it all works together. Just my un asked opinion.

Did you see the one done like a John deer, it's somewhere on this site but like you I think this one is great. I also saw a barbeque made from a real V8 cat engine, if I can find it I will post it.
