I got one of the LED dipsticks so I could monitor my oil level equally with my gas, my understanding is that it is about one tank of oil per 2 tanks of gas.
(hmmm maybe sould have bought a two cycle)..... Hope I don't have any problems. 

Back up a minute here.  Where did you hear this one?  Am I missing something?  My last Harley, I never put a drop of oil in it myself.  I took it in for all the service intervals and let the dealer change the oil.  That was it.  I checked it a few times in between, but it never dropped in level.  Would someone please confirm that this is not the case with the CVO's?  I'm really doubting it.   Yes, I let the dealer change my oil.  I know how much of a mess I would make taking that filter off and I just don't want to deal with it.

My '05 uses very little oil throughout the maint. cycle. Don't remember ever having to top it off. Too early to tell on the '09 but in 4,000 miles it's not used any. Not a total speed freak but neither bike is babied.
