I went to Gowanda HD in NY a couple times. They were okay, but a couple little things they did I didn't like, so I was thinking about checking out American HD next time which will be soon, for a new rear tire. Nice to hear you recommend them....I did go in there once to buy a part, and was very impressed with the service I got from the young man at the parts counter.
What's with the 10% discount- do you have to ask for it, or should I wink and mention your name? 
I buy almost all my stuff from American, most often I wait until they have an event there like St Paddy's day, free booze, free BBQ and even bigger discounts than the traditional 10%.
Last event we we to we spent $1000 there, after the discounts it was nearly $2000 cheaper than what we would have paid up here!
American has great deals on clothing as well, bought my HD leather jacket there for just over $300, saw the same one here for $700.
