The original Toronto Harley was by the waterfront at Bathurst & Front St. The same owner owned the Lamborghini Dealership next to it. He then wanted to go big time and he opened a new custom building for about 18 million. It was at Victoria Park & 401. Bringing the Lamborghini dealership there too. He lasted less than a year and a half. The building has a for sale sign on it now. Mackie for me is great. Only good things to say about the service there. The guy who sold me my bike works there too. He left Toronto before they went bankrupt. Then Jacox and Davis in Richmond Hill. As for Davis that place just does not feel right anytime I walked in there.

I know what you mean about Davis.......something off about that place. Mackie runs a really good show and is actually hosting this year's Provincial H.O.G. Rally!

I guess I will have to trailer it south and be happy that there is a good shop in Duluth with competent, friendly ppl that are actually glad to be of service!!

Thanks to all that replied, much appreciated!!

So this is the group of people I need to talk with now. I shall be moving to Canada or more specifically GTA by the beginning of the coming August. Which dealer around you recommend to buy a bike from? didn't settle for a used or a brand new bike. My family shall move permanently & I will come in a frequent visit but I need to have a bike there till I settle after about  a year or so.

Would it make a difference if I bought a used bike from the states as some posts on other forums claim or it is just talk?

Thank for your input

New bikes - you have a chitload of dealers in the GTA area to choose from but Mackie's is pretty good. You would have absolutely no hassle at all if you bought a bike in the USA if you're a US resident coming over. If you're a Canuck then used from the US is the way to go. They will hassle the chit out of you if you try to bring a new bike over (unless you're prepared to pay up to 1k to have it conform to CDN requirements, ie. speedo, brake lights, etc). That's my 2 cents worth on that matter.  :)

Go to Mackie. It is 40 KM east of the GTA.

Go see Mitch Ibbitson. He is the Sales Supervisor and tell him that Mano sent you and you want an awesome price or he is coming to get ya.  :2vrolijk_21:

If you are American, buy the bike in the USA, you will save thousands.

I bought my SERG in USA and dealer offered me $4K more than I paid for it on a trade... I walked away

There are lots of guys bringing used US bikes into Canada, if you aren't concerned about it being new then you still can save thousands.

The only fellow I trust in the GTA is Bruce Roy from Dynotunes, he an ex Jacox HD guy who left them a while ago... he's got two Dynos at the shop in Burlington and is an authorised Power Commander dealer.

I also use Bruce from Dynotunes.  He's fair and honest to deal with and I would highly recommend

As far as HD dealers in the GTA, I agree with the others about the dealers mentioned. Funny, I also get a strange vibe from Davies in Richmond Hill. If you are west end, Kitchener HD has good service techs, and Rocky's in London (owns Kitchener HD too), seem good, but I've never actually had my bike serviced at Rocky's.

I do my own fluid changes, and I have a couple independant shops for general repairs. I only go to the dealer for certain repairs- for example, I wanted to do a brake flush and fill last year, and my indy suggested it would be best to have the dealer do that because they have a machine for it, plus it's risky if any brake fluid touches the paint so better if an actual dealer was liable JIC, if that makes sense.

i feel your pain bro.
im from ontario too.i do all my buisness at american hd in niagara falls ny
family run buisness treats canadians great.....................10percent off parts too.im happy with the tecs and all my canadain friends  are too.

when u go to any dealer ask to talk to a master tec  he is suppose too have the brains and tell him u want him working on your bike. iv done it.

im sure someone on this site could set you up with a good tec close too you.......................best of luck

I went to Gowanda HD in NY a couple times. They were okay, but a couple little things they did I didn't like, so I was thinking about checking out American HD next time which will be soon, for a new rear tire. Nice to hear you recommend them....I did go in there once to buy a part, and was very impressed with the service I got from the young man at the parts counter.

What's with the 10% discount- do you have to ask for it, or should I wink and mention your name?  ;D

I think the OP's issue is he's up north, so obviously he would be limited in the amount of shops around him.

I think talking to other riders to find a good indy is his best bet.

I would agree with Northstar about finding a good Indy but if it is warranty work that is needed you are kinda held hostage by using local "ish" dealers.

Nice hijacking of the thread there Hadye!! Why didn't you simply start your own thread. Buying your bike had nothing to do with the issue that I had raised originally.....that's just being rude!  :jack:
