I installed the Zippers filter to replace the blue piece of junk  It seems to have given the bike more power and works with the stage one download much better. The added width does make the brake pedal harder to get to.

Do the K&N air filters come preoiled? I own a 2005 Fat Boy SE does it take the same HD-0800 as the bagger SEs. The reason I ask is the different shape of the air filter covers.
I just bought my SE a few weeks ago with 1,000 miles on it. After reading this thread on crappy original air filter elements, I figure I better order a K&N replacement filter.

First of all Welome to the site!

Yes they come pre-oiled and the hd-0800 will fit the Fatboy.

Regarding the purchase of the HD-0800, some Autozone's in different area's of the country will get one for you for  $32.95 I've been told but can't confirm.

Known issue - H-D updated the filters and replaces them for you for free.
