I bought my bike out of town, Local guy could not get it, Then I called the local guy and asked him if he wanted to 'match' the 20% discount, he called me back in less than 15 minutes and it was done.

Also if you have Jeni sell it to you, an your not in Ohio , you will also save the sales tax, which the local guy can't do.

Either way BUY IT

Told you guys, even I'm thinking of getting it. Buy it from any dealer at a discount and use it at any shop authorized to administer the ESP! You don't really think I'm buying it to bring Cybil to a dealer, do youze? :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

FTD!!! ;D ;)

Just an FYI that surcharge will be $150 over the current price of the ESP. If the price goes up then you pay the higher price plus the $150 surcharge. Don't want people to be confused when the get a quoted price for an ESP, wait and over time inflation has made the price go up they aren't locked into the initial price.

Does this $50 deductible apply to all repair work, even during the first two years of the factory warranty, or is it only charged once the extended warranty begins?

Only when the extended warranty kicks in, but you only pay the $50.00 one time for a part being replaced or repaired. Example if starter goes bad and has to be replaced you pay $50.00 if starter goes bad again you don't pay the deductible.

Did not know that - never happened on the RK (only 1 starter).  Thanks - good to know & makes the $$ I am about to spend on an EW for the jester a little easier pill to swallow.

"Extended Warranty" is commonly used, but these are really a service contract, which almost always run concurrently with the factory warranty and the clock is ticking from the date of purchase. Unless of course you can find one before your factory warranty runs out and pay the extra premium. The terms and conditions and items covered are nearly always different. With all the very expensive electronics and labor rates, you can easily run up $1800 on a major problem. If you can find one at a discount, get it and it could pay for itself over the years...as someone else said ....it's roll your dice type of situation.
