Im going to buy that air baffle today.  It's low cost and maybe it will help a bit with the crap that seems to float up from nowhere in between me and the windshield.

Where it appears that it would mount has a flat surface so I imagine it's a matter of drilling a couple of holes there to accomodate screws that I imgine come with it?
The holes should already be there. Even I did this modification and I'm the world's worst when it comes to wrenching. :huepfenlol2:

Okay, so I bought this baffle that was probably chromed in Pakistan or China and brought it home.  Took it out of the plastic bs and then started to turn it around and over and under thinking WTF? How does this thing fit on the bike.  The pic I have as a reference is from the Harley parts book and it actually gives me somewhat of a clue to how it mounts.  Now we'll see how far I can go before I completely screw up the mounting of this  :orange:   :drink:

It was cake to install.   :pepper:

Even an idiot like me can unbolt a couple screws and put this on.  :huepfenjump3:

I'll road test it tomorrow to feel the results.  :coolblue:

With the overwhelming success of a two bolt install, I'm going to "think" about changing my own oil  :orange:

Paying the dealer to do it at almost $50 total seems crazy.  Now, I'll need to check the drama quotient to see what needs to be done.  Hopefully, its just an oil drain plug and the unscrewing the oil filter to get rid of the old oil and the reverse, with new oil and a filter.  Not sure about that oil cooler and the chrome cover and whether increases the drama or its just left alone.  Time to read up.  Geez, then I have figure what to do with the old oil  :'(

Actually we should invest in the handy oil sump pump and then there is virtually zero mess. I am also thinkiong about switching to Amsoil next change. Oh by the way the old oil used to be able to be dropped off at Schucks, and my change in Ukiah , CA. was like $104.

I beg to differ, sir. My capabilities are limited to anything that goes on with sticker tape.
