I had Foremost for my Buick and Nissan and my '09 SERG. I have Hagerty for my '76 FL Shovelhead.
All of this was through an independent agent locally. I also had my house through them.
I ended up going to a State Farm agent about 1/2 mile from my house and asked for a quote.
I saved about $10 on the house, but overall I saved over $1400. My '09 SERG went down over half from Foremost.
The odd thing was that when my wife called my original independent agent to tell him we were switching everything except the Hagerty for the '76, he was very upset with us. He said that if we had let him know he would have been able to do something to lower our rates. Why did he let us go on, more money in his pocket, that's why.
This is just like phone companies and cable companies. They just keep upping the cost and unless you ask, they do nothing to drop pricing. And then they say, "oh, we have this new plan that can save you money"... Why didn't you tell me that so I could have been saving money for months now???
We're happy with State Farm and their prices.
As far as antique or classic car or bike insurance, I have always used Hagerty and been very happy. I've had friends with claims and they've been taken care of in days from the accident without any issues or complaints.
