My 2007 CVO Road King is here - probably won't be picking it up until April (due to weather in the great upper midwest). I really wanted the 110" but I'm getting a tish concerned because of what's being said here - some say that I should swap out the exhaust and install either a Power Commander or a SERT before I even take delivery and bring it back after the break-in period to have it dyno'd. Others say wait until the break-in period is over and then do the swaps and have it dyno'd at the same time.
Some say it will VOID my warranty others say it won't - anyone know for sure what I should do?
Sure would like to figure this out before I pick it up.
Thanks much!!

In regards to your questions talk to the dealer that is going to be servicing your bike. Dealers are different in what they tell you will void the warranty so you will need to see how they feel about the mods you are doing. I would also talk to the people in the service department (technicians). See what they recommend (are most comfortable/proficient with) when it comes to what product to use to tune/adjust your AFR (SERT/PCIII/Others). You don't want to decide on a product that they are unfamiliar w/and your bike is the guinea pig for them to learn on.
From hearing/reading all the information concerning the 110ci motor, and considering the time you have before you pick up your bike I would probably opt for having the mods installed by the time I pick it up, have some baseline map close to the pipes/breather I installed, then when you go back for the 1k service have it dyno'd.
Hope this helps, and good luck.
