All of that chaos and I didn't see one crash. I saw recently where one town in the USA, I forget which, is removing their traffic signals. Putting more responsability on the drivers to pay attention and less on a reliance on the City to tell you when to stop, turn, etc. So far the results are encouraging in crash reduction. What a novel idea, personal responability for your actions.

It would appear that you get used to it after awhile.  I'd like to know what the accident rate is at that corner.

[smiley=nervous.gif]  The Arc de Triomphe is a monument in Paris that stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, formerly the Place de l'Étoile, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées.  Although I can not provide you a link to the circle around this monument, can I tell you that in my mind's eye, this is as scary a traffic situation, that the faint of heart should just ignore, that I can imagine.  We drove around it "Once" at 2:30 AM and made it out unscathed.  We usually parked in the secure garage at Charles De Gaul and just metroed into the city from there. You can get metro passes that takes you every where you want to go.  A marvel of efficient transportation.  Driving in many foreign countries is best left to those that grew up with it.  The use of the horn is as important as signal lights, gas pedal and brakes.   [smiley=nervous.gif]

When you're coming back into the US from Mexico coming up from Rosarita Beach you have to do a 180 like that outside of TJ. Depending on the time of day, it can be almost as much fun
