When I decided to buy a new HD a few years ago, I was looking to buy a Street Glide CVO. I knew I wanted a bagger, already previously had a RK and way back a RG.
No one had one in stock and I ended up purchasing my beautiful Ultra CVO. I rarely travel long distances and don't use the tour pack so it was envitable I would take it off one day.
That day was yesterday!
After adding the Fullsac exhaust, I decided it was time to lighten the load out back. Opted not to do the quick detach kit. Not a fan of the brackets. Figured on the rare occasion I was going to take a trip, it's 20 minutes, a few bolts and plugs then it's back on.
I relocated the amp temporarily in the right side bag. Will likely upgrade it soon and then move it to the fairing when I add in lower fairing speakers one day.
Bought a hidden antenna that's also temporarily in the bag until it goes in the fairing.
Without the rack, I didn't like the look of the chrome strut covers with the cutouts so bought a set of take offs from a dealer. Picked up a new Street Glide seat from them as well.
Scored a tailight locally on CL without the clear window on top for $25. Sweet!
Lastly, picked up the HD chrome license plate frame to finish it off. I know it covers part of the CVO emblem but I'm ok with it. At some point maybe I will move it down an inch.
I LOVE the look and can't believe how better it handles without the extra 55lbs back there. Add in the extra ponies with the new exhaust and she's like a totally different bike!
