Thanks for sharing your memories, the pictures are great. I love shots of old bikes, cars, family enjoying life as it was then. It's a perspective on their past, someone snapped a picture and then they went for a ride. How many times to we do the same thing but those photos catch that one moment.
I have a letter from 1946 from my grandfather to his son, my uncle Ed. My uncle was a major, serving overseas in the army at the time. The letter relates a story of my grandfather hunting a deer in the woods near their house. It tells of how he tracked it and finally shot it and had to go back to the house and get my mother, 18 at the time and her sister to help drag it out of the woods. I didn't really know him very well but the letter opens up one regular day in his life, like your pictures. To me it lets you reach back and share that moment with them.
