Both my left and right switch housings had to be replaced.  Harley may have gotten a bad batch of switches.
The left hand control module on mine has been replaced 3 times already. It needs to be replaced again but the module is on back order till the end of June. The accessory/trip switch seems to be the most common problem.

It's official.... mine don't work. Reloaded twice, AVC still malfunctions. Next version, please.

I am amazed at the different results being obtained with the download. EVERYTHING about mine is good. AVC works on all levels, volume control works ALL the time. It is now a very good piece. What confuses me is how an electronic item that is controlled by a small computer can do different things when the same software is installed. Just does not seem possible.
I really wonder if the folks that continue to have problems after the update had some sort of failure in the installation process?

I'm confident my install was error free. I observed it through to completion. All functions seem to operate fine with the exception of the accessory switch.

There are numerous options and configurations in this system that are available to us that could effect the results. As I set up my system different than yours it may cause an error that you will not experience unless your setup is exactly like mine. This could be one possible explanation as to why programmers are struggling to fix the various bugs. Just saying...

I Have a couple of thoughts..... first and just for general knowledge, my unit has worked 100% correct since new. I considered not doing any updates because it worked correctly and didn't want to screw it up. I ended up doing the updates and thought I had a problem but it turned out to just be settings.

1. If some are working and some not (IF THE UPDATE WAS IN FACT DONE CORRECTLY AND THE DOWNLOAD WAS A NON CORRUPT AND COMPLETE / CORRECT FILE) then it is obvious that it is not the software. I believe these units, are / were, defective from new. If your unit has never worked right, and the updates don't fix, then you should take your bike to the dealer and make them install the updates. If still not fixed 100% then you need to make them warranty a new unit for your bike. PERIOD!

2. How many are downloading the updates via wireless connection? It only takes a nanosecond of lost signal to end up with a downloaded file with an incomplete script or extension etc.. A downloaded file missing any part of it is basically useless and could cause many problems including corrupting your unit to never work correctly again.

3. Incorrect download file

4. Downloads not installed correctly

I believe that #1 is probably the case in most instances and you guys should take your bikes to the dealers and INSIST that you leave with a 100% working infotainment system, whatever it takes on their part.

CVODON and Mr. Warlock I think are saying essentially what I have been trying to express right from the start of this thread. Unfortunately, "customer service" is DEFINITELY not one of my talents! My intent was to try to give back a little to the site with a few contributions since I have benefited from the info on the site. I have learned from this thread that I have zero patience dealing with people! Actually I already knew that! I guess what made it worse (and my posts) is that everyone seems to immediately  blame HD and go on and on about how much HD sucks... well that just chaps my hide. I don't see it that way.
Anyway, even though I have donated a small amount to the site through the donation thread, after re-reading my posts to this thread I clearly see that is where I need to limit my contributions to the site in the future. It's a good thing I am in a profession doing what I love and have a talent in, and don't have to deal with customer service!
I hope everyone gets there sucky-ass new HD's working to their satisfaction, but I LOVE MINE!!!
I just couldn't help the parting shot. ;D

Did the install last week and everything seemed to be working ok, except for the odd time it would revert back to fm after shutting it off while listening to ipod. Then today went to put it on acc. and it wouldn't power up. Started the bike up and had tunes. Now the trip/acc button doesn't work. It's always something.

I've run into that once or twice also. Once the ipod reconnects, it reverts back to it for me. Kinda weird.

Well today, I was changing some selects on sirius radio presets on acc. mode and when i tried to shut it off...it wouldn't shut off. After starting bike, shutting off, pressing acc. switch, flicking start switch it finally shut off. i think what im going to do is when i take it in to the dealer next week i'll have them reload the 1.19.0 to see if it cures my gremlins I'm experiencing. It is what it is...

Need advice from those of you in the know.  I have successfully updated the boombox system without issue until the newest update came out.  Since my last successful 1.18 update, I have successfully updated with the latest Navigation software.  Now, when I attempt to update using the previously successful method, 1.19 won't load and states error or doesn't recognize the update.  I have tried three different flash drives and two different computers.  Reinstalled decompression software on the computer without any success with the software update on the bike.  The bike is a 2014 Ultra limited CVO.  Bothe computers, are mac's and the one mac previously was successful in installing the operating software.  I had to use a PC to do the Navigation update.  Any ideas on what my current issue is would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Not sure if this has been covered yet but I accidentally discovered a new function. Was riding with buds last weekend and by accident thought I hit the PTT button and hit and held "Info" button thinking I was transmitting over the CB. After releasing what I thought was the PTT I noticed the screen was now in "High Contrast" mode. After thinking something is haywire I thought wait a minute, I held the info button again and it toggled back to the normal screen. I did it a couple more time just to verify this was working as I discovered. So there you go. New function, at least as far as I knew. Anyone else have any accidental new functionality discoveries?

Have you confirmed that you have the correct update that is for the CVO radio?

Yes, I downloaded the CVO premium radio update on the web site.  Did it on two different computers. Same result.
