CVODON and Mr. Warlock I think are saying essentially what I have been trying to express right from the start of this thread. Unfortunately, "customer service" is DEFINITELY not one of my talents! My intent was to try to give back a little to the site with a few contributions since I have benefited from the info on the site. I have learned from this thread that I have zero patience dealing with people! Actually I already knew that! I guess what made it worse (and my posts) is that everyone seems to immediately  blame HD and go on and on about how much HD sucks... well that just chaps my hide. I don't see it that way.
Anyway, even though I have donated a small amount to the site through the donation thread, after re-reading my posts to this thread I clearly see that is where I need to limit my contributions to the site in the future. It's a good thing I am in a profession doing what I love and have a talent in, and don't have to deal with customer service!
I hope everyone gets there sucky-ass new HD's working to their satisfaction, but I LOVE MINE!!!
I just couldn't help the parting shot. ;D

I'm sorry but this is not acceptable, I have relied on and even complimented your ability to do the customer service thing, I want you to PLEASE continue to write the explanations that I definitely have no patience in writing or trying to explain. So if you can't do it for yourself or others, than think of me, and damit (I know it's not a word) do it for me!!!

Funny! Well I know what good customer service is, and you evidently do not.  :)

Actually, maybe this week is a perfect opportunity! With most all of the web site big whigs gone to the GTG, maybe I can run the web site into the ground with my super duper customer service. :orange:

Covered a few pages back but thanks for bringing it back to the top.  :2vrolijk_21:  Welcome to CVO Harley. Lots of great reading here on this site.
Thanks for the welcome OBB! Yes, lots a great info and I'm soaking it up. I knew about the High contrast with the update but had no idea to toggle back and forth unless you got into set up from Home screen, and that's to much distraction while riding.

I'll stand with High on this. I'm only on my second HD, and first CVO, but I have no complaints or regrets. My 2010 Heritage gave me almost six years of trouble free riding. Literally needed nothing but oil changes, brake pads, and tires. I couldn't say that about the Kawasaki and two Hondas that preceded it. I traded it on a CVORK, and I haven't seen any problems with the paint that people talk about on here, and the bike runs great. We'll see if it's as dependable as the Heritage was, the first 2500 have passed without any issues.

Well here's an interesting twist. I've spent the last three days traveling from Ohio to Texas. I've been using the Sirius radio the whole way. We'll just be cruising down the road and it will jump from Sat Rad to AM. Crazy. Love the radar and traffic alerts although sometimes they're behind in the traffic updates.

Well I did the update and now I wish I could go back. Now there are to many warning signs and I cant advance my songs and seems really slow. Cant seem to find out if the maps were updated any where.

Unless I am doing something wrong I see it as a downdate not an update.

If anyone can help me out it would be appreciated.

It is my understanding that no map update have ever been available.

Only firmware updates.

Pretty sure you're dead on here. Map updates come from Naviextras I believe.

Thanks Puma. So now we have two who actually like their bikes! We can start a revolution! Same here... I put 47K miles on my 08 SG. It was serviced regularly with only synthetic. I only had one thing replaced while in for service.. the COMP. It was replaced on extended warranty and only cost me $50. I can not complain.
Enjoy that bike!

Where did you find the map info before? It is in the same location now, And no map updates to my knowledge have been issued. So I am confused as to your  actual question.http://

I might be able to help with your issue of not being able to advance your songs. I assume this is in the media function. If so, while playing media, USB drive, iPod, etc., select menu. On the next screen ensure the top left soft button reads "Seek" if it reads "Presets" touch it to change to "Seek." That enables you to advance songs being played on your media storage device, otherwise it will jump to your radio presets.

I installed the new software update last week, I was so excited! It drove me crazy that each time I started my new 2015 SE Limited I had to reset my AVC!!!!  Now let me also say that I know what I'm doing with software and the installation of software!  I took a ride to see if the AVC stayed set, I just could not wait!  I still have to reset my AVC each time I start my bike!!!!!

Now I've been reading the 13 pages of responses to this new download and I see that some people have no problems and some people also still have to reset there AVC!  I just cannot understand how this works on some CVO radios but not all!!!!  I am perplexed!!!!

Try it with avc adjusted to #2 position. higher positions do not work

I picked mine up from the dealer today. I like the fact that I now don't have to turn the AVC off and back on for it to play louder at highway speed. However, it does not work when you come to a stop which I don't mind because I always turn my volume down manually all the way when I do. Just confirming it doesn't work on 4 bars. I'll try it on 2 next ride.
