I wasn't charged for ineffective parts replaced.  I purchased the bike at a different shop but all maintenance was done at this shop. Great people.  The biggest thing is I never raised my voice.  I treated them like humans even when it was taking forever. I do maintenance so I know how goofy you can look trouble shooting and repairs

You're happy, or at least content, with the final resolution.  It was at least a quirky problem that they'd not run in to before.  Sometimes those take awhile.  Whether they should have found it sooner or not is totally separate from the simple fact that neither they nor you did and, when they did, it seems they treated you square.  In those circumstances it's hard to ask for a lot more than that.  Keeping my finger crossed that it really is all sorted and you're enjoying the asphalt :2vrolijk_21: .
