Wood Cams 555 or 777...?
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:49:46 AM »

I've used Wood cams in my other bikes and had great results. Which way should I go if I decide only to add Wood cams without any other mods...555 or 777 ? What can I expect for an increase in hp and tq in my stock Breakout with Bassani 2 into 2 pipes and SE super tuner?

In a stock 110? Neither would be my choice and I also like Bobby's cams.  For bolt in and tune I'd reach for GMR's 577.

Gmr 577 in a lightly modded engine is my pick, or the Kury 24D.
If you plan on doing the heads look at others like the T-Man 577.

I put 555's in mine a few years ago with Fullsac X pipe, Kerker Stouts, 30T and a map from Steve at Fullsac and got 98 hp and 106 lb ft of torque.
I'm in the middle of an upgrade with information from this site and a couple of VERY informative phone calls to Steve at GMR to his 600 cams with a 113 piston and jug kit (not his), beehive valve springs, SE 58mm throttle body with 5.3 injectors and the S&S flywheels. So we'll see where I end up. Unfortunately Steve is in Texas (I'm in Washington) or my bike would be there having all this done. Thanks for your time and patience Steve.
As for the Woods 555"s they work great and I would recommend them, but a call to Steve @ GMR I would recommend even more.

Sorry for the hijack.
