Nice to see it done Pete.  Looks great too.  Lots of details you've added and accomplished there too.  Very sweet indeed.

Pete,
Looks awesome, and I bet it's more fun to ride then looking at it. :2vrolijk_21:

I'm for staying with externally looking the same on any CVO bike , and internally do what you can to get the most bullet proof power.  The 113 should be plenty to get your grins going.

Well Pete stopped by yesterday while he was out putting miles on his new rebuild. SSSSSwwwwweeeeeeeeeettttt :2vrolijk_21: even used the pumpkin thumbs up. :huepfenlol2:

Hard to believe that a 120 doesn't have compression releases and starts that smooth. Idled smooth, hell it was all smooth. Nice job.

Pete had the motor thermal coated and when he pulled into the driveway you could put your hand on the rear cylinder and not get burned. Think I might have to get this done to Bessie this winter. If I did it now while she is down, Kathy would have my hide.

I did not notice a 124?? If you have a 4.375 crank and you add 4.250 cylinders you get a 124. We build these on a very regular basis and they are very smooth, making great power arcoss the board. This is the kit that we do on the 103 version's CVO bikes.

Thanks Brian, of all the decisions I made relative to this build, doing the thermal coating of cylinder heads, pistons and jett-hot coating the head pipes was the best.  To your point, after two hours of riding home, you literally have to touch the heads to feel the heat!  Given all the issues on heat build up I have read on this site (stock or not), the $600 I spent on thermal coating the above, was money well spent!  In addition, I installed an S&S oil filter mount (because it was chrome and worked with an oil cooler) that does not have a thermostat, so oil is always circulating through the cooler.  Also enables you to install the HD oil pressure switch cover for more chrome!!!  On top of that the diamond cutting of the fins is supposed to promote better cooling as well (at least that's what they advertise and have a patent for).  Bottom line, I have done everything that can be done to make this engine run cool and it does.  BTW, it only takes a week to get it done, still time left :2vrolijk_21:

Pete, sounds like a great result.  Glad to hear all of the mods are delivering as well or better than expected.  I read with interest about the cooling mods and your choices.  That appears to have delivered very well.

The engine looks awesome as well.  Thanks for the update.

Wow Pete, that turned out really nice.   :2vrolijk_21:   That AC is too cool!  ;)  The thermal coating results are very interesting.

This is the last part of this post now that all the work has been completed including a custom dyno tune.  I am very pleased with the work Zipper's did on my motor and transmission.  I am equally pleased with the TMAX setup.  I did have some interesting experiences with this project that I would like to share with the members of this site as I have seen various posts from others that touch on some of these same issues.

Let's start with have a custom map built for my bike.  Zipper's recommended a base map that they felt was close to my engine and pipe combo.  I built the 120 to their specs, but I was using Reinhart 2:1 versus the D&D Boarzilla.  Even though I have the AT feature, AT only makes adjustments to your base map settings within certain parameters, but it will not change the base map nor optimize the HP/TQ output.  To maximize the output for your engine/pipe combination, there is no substitute for a custom map.  Therefore, I elected to send my bike upstate NY to Joe's Cycle Repair who has an excellent reputation as a tuner (all he does).  It was during the tuning process that I elected to change my Reinharts out for D&D Fatcats because they produced significantly better numbers and a better torque curve to suit my riding conditions.  Further, I was not pleased with Reinhart quality (i.e. collector shield failed twice, end cap changing colors, head pipe cracked at rear cylinder) that I was looking for an excuse for a change.  Reinhart was very good about replacing these items free of charge, however, these quality problems should not exist and I really feel that they are more interested in boosting production and pushing pipes out the door than they are in quality control.  The D&D Fatcats are excellent pipes and I am glad I switched.

Bottom line:  The bike runs great, power/torque is awesome, smooth as silk in all gears.  I have attached some photos and my dyno sheet showing before and after results.  To anyone interested in a first class tuner, Joe is the man.  He can tune PC III, SERT, TMAX, you name it, he has used it.  First class gentleman who knows his business.  He put over 200 miles on my bike on the dyno and it took about a week to complete.  I rode 600 miles to and from to have him do the work and it was worth every mile :2vrolijk_21:.
