Got an estimate with Pistons added. Now I just gotta chew on the numbers.

By all I've seen should be knocking on 117-120 ft/lb with that setup.

Anyone care to enlighten me if I'm off?

I was reading this again - and just to confirm - things are not the same if you up the squeeze, correct?  In that case, 10.5 pistons and a set of 585s and you may have a potent combination?
Would be the same or close to the Andrews 57 squeezed that hard. With a complimentary pipe plus head work 125 TQ is possible.

The jackpot header is sitting next to it waiting for my decision

I put the se585  cams with se 10.5 pistons in my 2015 cvo.
I also have fuel moto header with Rinehart 4 inch mufflers with a sert
I am impressed with its performance
I believe it could use a little more  cam to kill some bottom end
I am wondering if I should to advance it 4 degrees

You don't happen to have #s or better yet a graph for this build do you?

If TBW just slow the throttle body in the software
Advancing cams will be a bad move for a number of reasons

I just did a build on my 2016 SE Limited.  I put the SE-585 cams and D&D 2-1 Boarzilla pipes.  I also had the dealer run the bike before mods.  Attached are the runs.  Factory: 82HP and 101 Torque.  After build: 102HP and 118 Torque.  So far the ride is great!

I have that same dip, I wonder if it is the Boarzilla as mine has one also. Although I have 131 and whatever cam they send it with.

The dealer is wrong
Without adding compression it will lose torque compared to the stock cam
I speak from personal experience. It still will have a good amount of torque and the pipe is more of an influence on the shape of the curve but the low end under 2500rpm will take a hit.
Throw in a set of SE 10.5:1 pistons and you have a new story, porting better yet

What is your opinion on the SE 585 cam with the new 117 bolt-in street kit? I have ordered one and it comes with 259e cams but I like the the low end torque I get with my 255 cams. Don't mind losing a little down low but don't want to be disappointed after the install with the 259e cam.

This is exactly what I ordered yesterday.

Stand by for results.

I think there one or two others doing the same.

The SE 585 will be a torquer similar to the SE255 in the 110 but more due to the added displacement. In other words similar shape of the curve just higher everywhere. One other similarity now your peak HP without head work will be in the 4500 rpm range. At the stock 117" compression ratio which I figured at a nominal 9.8:1 this combo would be very octane friendly too.

The 259 is a late finisher but in a motor this big would have good torque down low better if the compression was raised. Even so to get the potential out of the 259 the heads will need to be ported, a larger TB and injectors. If I was going there I would use a different cam and target 130/130 and not dabble, and of course in the middle of this work the crank would be trussed up and trued and a clutch purchased.

One is the Ying build one is the Yang, choose your option.

Thank you for your reply. The kit does come with a 58mm TB and high flow fuel injectors. Also 9.9:1 compression. I agree more is better when it comes to power, but I want to keep it in warranty so will just go with the kit as is for now. Who knows what the future may bring. :huepfenjump3:

Read the fine print on the kit, is this a "race" or "street legal" kit?
GO light or Crossed Flags?
Very different
Only some of the street legal items are warrantied and all of the Race items carry no warranty.
