And continuing on for you lovers of the color red.  I was playing with the light in these shots.  The paint on these cars is awesome for being 40+ years old in some cases.
But still no blue ones to match the beauty of my RG!

Old town Eureka Springs.  There are tons of really neat stores and even more beautiful little homes and cottages in this very eclectic town!

The Pied Piper Inn and Cathouse Lounge in old town ES.  Great jalapeno poppers and fried portabello mushrooms, excellent sandwiches, and a nice selection of micro brewery choices on tap with great service and good dinner company from some interesting guests and waitresses!

That's all for now.  Patty and I will be making more ES runs and taking different routes there and back and while there, but that may not be till next spring, unless we take the car this winter.
Thanks for checking in!

Thank you for posting all the pics and sharing our backyard with the rest of the world. There is never and end to the great rides in that area. When you came north out of ES did you happen to jump off of 23 and take a detour through Beaver and ride across the old suspension bridge?

You got that right, brother!  We're blessed with this part of the state and with eastern Oklahoma as well.
Yes, I have been across that bridge a couple of times.  The first time I went there back in like '09 or so, the White River was so flooded the bridge was under water.  We were told later that there may have been too much damage to salvage the bridge after that, but it looks like they did and I'm glad for that.  I think it's kind of a state treasure if you ask me.  Most recently I went over it on the RGU about 3 months ago with streetglide1 and his wife from here on the forum.  It was their first time over it.  That bridge is a real treat to see and cross over, that's for sure!
It's definitely going to be a recommended ride for the '17 MITM GTG!!
Thanks for adding to the post!

I would also recommend a trip to visit and eat at Cliff View Inn. The view of the Arkansas Grand Canyon is a must see if you haven't been to the area.

Pig Trail Harley in Rogers, AR.
They've got tons of clothes, and a fair amount of accessories and bikes.  This is the largest dealer in the state, and right off Hwy 62 as you enter Rogers.
What a great name for a Harley dealership!

What a great name for a Harley dealership!

True be!  The Dealership is named for the Pig Trail Scenic Byway or State Highway 23 that runs north/south through the Arkansas Ozarks/Boston Mountains and on up through Eureka Springs and into Missouri.  It's called the Pig Trail due to it's steep hills and hairpin turns.
It also has a strong connection to the University of Arkansas Razorbacks football team, or the Hogs as the locals call them (no pun intended).  The road is a popular shortcut to Fayetteville for Razorbacks fans heading north for their games.
And because of all this, it truly was the perfect name for that Harley dealership!
The trail upon which the current highway is built is old, maybe dating back before the white man ever came into the region, and is one of the most historic roads in the Ozarks.  By the time of the Civil War, the trail was a main road, used by both northern and southern troops alike.
But of all it's 130 total miles of length, the true Pig Trail portion...the best part...is only about 19 miles long, and it's truly a memorable drive, especially on a CVO!   :2vrolijk_21:

Here's a photo we took from our Jeep on a beautiful fall day somewhere in that 19 mile stretch:
