I saw a number of the new Indians at the Hot Springs rally in AR this past September. They do have a lot of nice details, but their looks...well...I just can't get past the looks or many of the colors. And some of the reviews say they have a way to go yet to come up to Harley quality (gulp!), but Indian's a company that's hungry whereas I think Harley has lost that hunger (to please customers) and I worry about their desire/ability to get that hunger back and make it genuine and make it last.
On the other hand, if Harley doesn't get off their collective butts with quality control and attitude, and make this Rushmore thing really count for something, I may have to go look at the Indians. It has really upset me to read about all the issues with my $40,000 motorcycle, and it won't take much more of that for me to stop buying Harley. I'll keep mine and limp along fixing what they should have made right to begin with rather than go buy another from them. I hope you're reading this, MoCo.
Mind you...I just said go
look at the Indians.

Besides, what the heck would me and the wife do with all our Harley brand clothing? My guess is the MoCo is counting on that and brand loyalty, but other companies have played that hand in the past and lost it all.
