While on a road trip several years ago I met a guy who saw my Bushtec and asked for help. He had an air leak as had drug his trailer all day. Said his gas mileage was down into the mid teens! Anyway he was savvy enough to know he had a problem and with a call to Bushtec we were able to find the source of his leak (a loose connection) and get him back on the road with air pressure in the shocks. Shocking (pun intended) that someone could drag that trailer for 8,000 miles and not know something was wrong - even pulling it with a trike.
Glad it worked out well for you and everyone is happy.
I have run into a lot of them that the air line going to the fill valve over time has split back about 1/16th of an inch, must be from the heat or sun not sure. All you have to do providing the line has slack is snip it off about 1/4 to 1/2 inch back reinsert and your on the way again. Have only had one or two that had loose fittings at the air shock, they were easy fixes just tighten and air up. None of the Bushtec's I have owned had bad shocks, so when someone thinks they are I tell them to check all the fittings and lines. A lot of the times its the T fitting underneath that either fractured or came loose.
By the way, the guy had no idea it had an adjustable air system on it, when I air it up he looked at it and was speechless. Now add insult to injury this guy was the President of a Goldwing Chapter for years, its not like he was on a deserted island somewhere that no one would see him dragging it around. The manual is in pristine condition as no one ever read it.
