If anybody else has me pegged that I have a imaginary problem with them.  Feel free to ring me up.  I don't know if I can post my shop number but I am easy to find.  A man to man phone conversation could of probably cleared this up with in a couple of minutes.  Peacocking on an open forum isn't the girl drama anybody wants.  I am sure the mods don't want it either.

Part of the definition of manhood is integrity.  Quit being a little girl and own your actions.

Right on.
Instead of sticking your nose into something that was none of your business, and ridiculing something you know nothing of..........darn right, you could have called us prior, or was I supposed to call you to apologize for you bashing us???? I forget how that is supposed to work?
BTW, no live person on your end........answering machine.
Ball's in your court.........

Well heck, I came over here to get away from the chest thumping, drumming up business etc.,  of a "tech" site were everyone has to kiss the azz of a grand poohbah and try to show how smart they are, and bicker with each other constantly, only to have some follow and turn a site where most could have a conversation without all the BS, into a clone of that. They don't argue about hydrogen embrittlement, temp sensors and dyno curves for farmland here. It's a good group trying to share useful information. Flame On.

Edit: Sachs, Kirby and Dorfman are not to part of my post, they are always on the "high road". Apologies if I missed someone.

Yet another thread that started with a site member who is going to do some winter motor work and simply asked the membership for some input - that once again resulted in vendors insulting each other.

It used to be that regular ole site members could talk about there motor modifications (or bike modifications in general), maybe post some photos of their work as it progressed, perhaps ask a few questions or give some honest helpful advice, and we could all follow along with interest.  Nobody trying to sell anything, nobody trying to upstage anyone, nobody telling them how they would do it better, nobody getting nasty with their comments...  No sarcasm, no agenda's, no convoluted posts with "hidden meaning".

I think much of what "used to be" still takes place on the site, only now it mostly happens within PM's.  I know I'm pretty much daily responding to members PM's, answering their questions as best I can, sharing any knowledge or experience I possess, and am happy to do so.  Members that don't want to ask their questions in public, for fear of their questions turning into threads like this one.  It's too bad.  I enjoyed this place a lot more in the old days, when it was just a bunch of guys talking.

Nothing wrong with vendors on the site.  As long as they are site members first and vendors a distant second.  Some of our site vendors are good for the site, but others, not so much...   But that's just my opinion, which counts for very little (as it should)...   :)

Scott, as a member that use to post here much more fequently, I share your opinion.  Of course my words have the same weight as yours.  While some of the Vendor postings are in fact informational, I get frustrated with those Vendors that can never give it a break.

My post wasn't against anybody.   I just stated John didn't start with Scott's heads.   Which seemed to me what Scott was eluding to or that they were at least copied from somewhere.

Like Sadunbar said, he and some others have been very helpful with posts and PM's.

Mods can lock this thread if they want, since it doesn't appear to have the potential for anymore useful info, and people don't want to read about how the boys aren't playing well in the sandbox.

That guy has never seen a set of our heads, best of my knowledge, and he has his own methods, again best of my knowledge..........you only ASSUMED as that was my reference.
Generalized statement being made by myself as to where does anyone suspect a cnc cylinder head originates from?
It comes from a master head, that is on/off, on/off, on/off, the flow bench until the cylinder head porter/engine builder is happy with the results, then is laser scanned/digitized, and from there forward, they can spit them off that 5 axis machine.
We have recently seen cnc work that is very poor(plant corn, get corn...)and have resurrected/reworked 5 sets since before Labor Day..........all from the same outfit, and to be VERY CLEAR, from no one that posts on this message board with any frequency.
You came in to the thread, guns blazing, accusing us of wrong doing, without the understanding of my words.
I have been in this industry for 30 years now, standalone brick and mortar business with employees, taught machine shop courses at a local vocational school, completed a 4 year NYS Toomakers Apprenticeship, and before that, working on motorcycles since the late '70's, 80-90 hrs a week, after serving 3 years in the US Army in an Infantry line unit, long before the internet was a wet dream.
I take a MIGHTY DIM VIEW of someone that has the lack of respect to harass us.
An apology is in order at this point. >:(

members opinions do count count here, and its a sad day for me to hear that people will not post publicly and are only using PMs.

we also do take posts like the ones between 2 vendors in this thread serious when they are reported to us.

i can assure you that you will not see anymore posts from one of them, hopefully this will get some of those members back to public posting

Well, I blame the MOCO. If they provided us with a more stable drivetrain ALL our members would be happy because we wouldn't have the problems that keep happening and ALL our Vendor members could be spending more time with annoying little things instead of trying their best to address our drivetrains trying to keep us on the road. Well it would be nice if it was that simple.

Besides being a vendor I own a cvo 110.
In all honesty I have replaced the cam, lifters, and valve springs. Steps to ease the valve train stress. Replaced the compensator. That's it other than a good tune and pipes. Also added head fans.
My crank is at .006 and frankly I just want a bike I can hop on and ride careless of the mechanics. Can't say with confidence I am 100% there but I did what I could. I do not have the confidence in the whole system design to add horsepower, just want to ride, check tires, change oil, and enjoy.

Did you change Cams , if so could you please tell why you pick it over any of the others .
