As you all prob saw in my last post my 117 kit is in.

Swapping 585s for 259s.

Hoping to see near 115/125.

I think that's realistic?

I would think those are very realistic numbers. You may even be surprised. Myself as well as numerous others are watching closely to see the finished product of your build

Star racing is getting 140 plus on both sides on a 113 build so I am hoping these are able to be made. The cams are a little different the 400 cams have .650 lift and the cam star uses is a .600 lift. Obviously there are going to be some differences in the head work as well. We'll just have to wait and see, I would be happy at 130 on both sides anything more is a bonus I'm thinking

Thinking a lot of us would be very happy with 130/130 out of the 113 and it still have nice manners, even more so if that happened before 6800.

I just bought a white cvo as well, I have not picked it up because i am having the motor done to a 113. The way this will be set up the motor should turn 133 to 136 hp and 135 to 139 tq and keep it's reliability. went with the 10.5:1 pistons, full heads, woods 400 cam, 58 mm throttle body 5.9 fuel injectors, and a D&D fatcat 2 into 1 exhaust. I will be anxious to see the actual numbers once this build is complete. I will post the dyno sheets when it's done.

After doing several variations of my 113" over a 10 year period, thinking your compression will need to be closer to 11:1 to achieve 133-135 hp. Not saying it can't be done, but I used some of the best head porters in the industry, cams with more duration than the 400 and got close, but no cigar. All the ones I've seen at 130+ hp were pushing or at 11:1. You'll reach 135 tq no problem. Chasing numbers can empty a wallet faster than your 60 foot times. Your build should be a lot of fun, enjoy.

While I have high regard for George Bryce (Star Racing) they show dyno runs in STD. This from their website on the 113"....."We bored it to 113 cubic inches at 10 to 1 compression ratio."
Those heads would have to be something never seen before to get 140 rwhp at 10.0:1 cr. I've seen many dyno runs for 113" TC's, none ever reached 140hp.

KC2,
The MoCo has several performance enhancement kits available that allow the warranty and ESP to be intact, I would be looking hard at that menu...

Good luck with your build. Hope it works out for you

I have 135hp/133tq on my 113, but I'm running 11.0 to 1 comp. with woods TW999 cams. I also went into the lower end and had Darkhorse do the crank, timken conversion, and H beam rods
