After a very frustrating day, after finding out my cylinders where out of round, endless phone calls to the mother ship with no help, after many wasted hrs by my builder and with help also from Steve at gmr,,come to find out from Harley tech services ,after my dealer who sold me the package of the 117 bolt on kit,the reason they are showing out of round ,the reason is Harly has a special tq plate for this kit and any other tq plate will get different readings.Glad my builder and gmr took time out to check the cylinders ,Needless to say very stressed out day .

So... That means that they are saying that well, you really don't have the secret measuring stuff we have, so, y'all stop trying to measure stuff. Just put it together and trust us.

What a line of b.s.    :(

I expect the mothership will fight this issue, for fear of opening the floodgates.

Huh, who knew that Harley's  definition of flat and the rest of the world's definition of the exact same absolute term actually varied?  :huepfenlol2:

Tax is clearly refundable. In fact, a quick call to the state comptroller's office would probably sort out the dealer's OBLIGATION to refund the taxes on a rescinded sale.

You know, this kind of BS is exactly the kind of story that will get legs around the Internet and probably get all the details confused pretty quickly... I can't help but wonder why the MoCo would make such a ridiculous ststement. No-one will believe they  have secret super special torque plates, even if they DO!
I hope they take care of the customer and do some splainin' right quick.

When I called MasterCard and told them what happened ,boom got a credit for the full refund ,got a call back from the dealership after I told them what happened when I talked to MasterCard ,the response why did you call MasterCard ,mine to get my money back from a defective kit,and not being able for them to show me it's not .Another phone call back from the dealer and said they would call mothership in the  morning,to find out about getting the correct tq plate for this kit.i suggest anyone doing this kit to ask who ever is doing this build for you to see if they have this tq plate,I'm sure most dealers are just slapping it on with out checking anything.Glad mine checked.Really feel bad for him of all the time he spent checking the kit over .and trying on other cylinders of othe displacements and them all coming in very close,he even thought it was due to the steel .Bingo he found out with out any help of the dealership. This being said I'm glad to have him as my builder and Tunner.

No surprise when it comes to BS from a dealer and the puppets you waste your time with when there are issues. You get a lot if razzle dazzle and no satisfaction. Yup, mick  Jagger had it right. Can't get no Satisfaction.
